Abstract
To assess the risk of repoductive age outbreak and to guide immunization policy, seroprevalences of antibody to measles, rubella, and varicella-zoster were determined in healthy korean women of reproductive age. The number of measles, rubella and varicella-zoster were 500, 62,351 and 200, respectively. The measles, rubella and varicella-zoster IgG antibody status was determined with commercially available enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(RADIM, BIOKIT and RADIM IgG kit). Seropositive rates of measles, rubella and varicella-zoster were 94.8%(474/500), 91.1 %(56,802/62,351) and 96.0%(1 92/200), respectively. There was no statistical difference in seropositive rate according to women of reproductive age. these results suggest potential for repoductive age outbreak of measles an varicella-zoster, especially of rubella. Immunization policy will be needed in healthy korean women of reproductive age.
